Rietumu executes payments in Chinese yuan

Rietumu starts to execute payments in one of the most promising world currencies – Chinese yuan.

Currency transfers for import-export operations in Chinese yuan are executed via companies situated in 16 provinces and municipalities of China: Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan,  Sichuan, Yunnan, Jilin, Heilongjiang,Tibet, Xinjiang; Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing.

„China is one of the leading world economies and the interest in cooperation with Chinese partners is constantly growing among our customers. Payments in yuan are the first step in so called „Chinese program”. I think entrepreneurs from China might be interested in investing in Latvia and Europe, as well as obtaining the residence permit in Europe”, – says Vice-President of Rietumu Bank Vadim Alexeyev.

The rights to receive the payments from foreign partners in yuan and transfer yuan abroad are issued to Chinese companies in the previously mentioned provinces and municipalities. The rights are issued by People’s Bank of China . The list of the companies is being constantly extended.
