On Changes in Safety Settings and Termination of SSL v3 Protocol Support

Recently, information appeared in different sources about the existence of “weaknesses” and vulnerabilities in the SSL encryption protocol.

Rietumu Bank has taken preventive measures and has terminated supporting the potentially vulnerable encryption protocols for work with the Home Banking system. Thus, connection to the Bank with the help of a protocol having a vulnerable feature is no longer possible.

Information security experts also recommend adjusting the browser configuration in such a way as to exclude a possibility of being connected to other sites via the vulnerable protocol. The instructions on how to update your browser are available here.

Work of the mobile applications iRietumu HD (iPad/iPhone) has not been affected.
