5 January 2022, 16:16

In December the largest international music festival in the Baltic Region, Riga Jurmala, which became a worthy successor to the tradition of music festivals held in Jurmala, announced its programme for this year.

The festival has been taking place in Jurmala and Riga with the constant support of Rietumu Bank and founded by the bank charity fund Nākotnes Atbalsta fonds (Future Supporting Fund).

The Riga Jurmala Music Festival 2022 comprises four weekends, each presenting a major international orchestra.

Moreover, the 20 performances at the 2022 Riga Jurmala Music Festival are going to feature over 30 world-renowned soloists – both in solo concerts and with orchestras.

Each visiting orchestra will give two evening concerts, with the third evening of the weekend dedicated to a recital featuring a prominent soloist or soloists. Evening performances are going to take place at the Latvian National Opera in Riga or Dzintari Concert Hall in Jurmala, while all noon concerts are going to take place at the Small Guild in Riga.
