During the second the ‘expositional’ part from October 2 to November 1 at the Central Pavilion the works of artists, created as the results of the ‘eventful’ part of the Biennale, will be exhibited.

The Moscow Biennale has world's well-deserved reputation as one of the largest and the most authoritative international forums in the field of contemporary art. There are the leading Russian and foreign curators, bright artists, critics and philosophers herein, non-standard techniques and platforms are used to exhibit the works.

The title topic of the Biennale will be the question “How to live together? A view from the city center in the heart of the island of Eurasia.”

The Chairman of the Board of Rietumu Bank, Inga Sina at the press conference said, ‘Moscow is a very good platform for such international projects that bring together promising artists from different countries. The capital of Russia over the centuries has impressed and inspired creative people by its brightness, cheerfulness, energy, and the world-famous hospitality. Moreover, our famous fellow citizens studied and worked here, they are Gustavs Klucis and Leo Svemps, and today the Latvian artists gladly bring their works here, and participate in the exhibitions.

In addition, if to draw a parallel between art and business, it becomes obvious that there is the plane, where the influence of both is very great, that is the relationship between people and nations. Both arts and business involve us into an active communication, form common interests, learn to think in accord, to listen to the words of a partner, companion, to understand him deeper. Moreover, this feature, common for culture and business, is very consonant with the key theme of the Biennale “How to live together?”

Mrs. Sina also noted that in her homeland, in Latvia, Bank “Rietumu” is widely known for its charitable and sponsorship activities. The Bank cooperates with many art museums in the country; regularly supports the international projects in the field of cultural exchange between Latvia and Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and other countries; as well as the other activities in the field of arts and culture.

In addition to the main project, the Moscow Biennale will present programs “Special Guests”, “Special Projects” and Parallel program, which will introduce the works of artists, presenting the modern art, to the audience. The most interesting projects of the independent Russian and foreign curators within the Sixth Moscow Biennale will be exhibited on the leading exhibition venues, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Museum “Garage”, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center and many others.

In total, during the Biennale more than 80 projects on 40 exhibition venues will be exhibited.

The Moscow Biennale is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, VDNKh, and the Art Fund “Moscow Biennale.”
